LuMee Case Obsession: Review

I'm literally obsessed with my case that I bought from the one and only LuMee! I first discovered this case when I was binge watch the Kardashians (and yes I watch the Kardashians so...fight me!!) and I was like whoaaaa I have to have this. I even told mom that I will have this case for my new phone ASAP! Fast forward in the beginning of summer16 my cousins mom had the case and I played around with it and I was HOOKED. I take selfies all the time because I'm vain like that and quite honestly with me buying the LuMee case; it would give the quality of my selfies to a whole another level. So guess what... I bought the case before I got my new phone and mind you I received my new phone 3 months later. Literally. 

So when I ordered the case it only took about a week. Okay I'm lying it took about a month to come to momma and the wait was worth it! I ordered a black LuMee case for my IPhone 6s Plus and I kept playing around with it and turning the light on to see the light beam in 3 different settings; low, medium, high, and strobe light effect. Once I received my new phone; my life became high class. 

I use the case for flashlight purposes, SELFIES and all of the above!!!! The one thing I really like about this case is the durability when it comes to me accidentally dropping my phone but that's pretty rare nowadays since my new phone fits my hand like a glove. 

So as you can see I take this case everywhere I go but, I had to take a break from it due to not wanting to over use it and to also try not to damage it from certain things. THIS CASE IS MY BABY AND WHENEVER SOMEONE USES IT I WATCH IT LIKE A HAWK. Once I get some money rolling in the dough I will definitely buy a whole bunch of cases for myself and to everyone that I love so dearly that likes the case as well. Damn Gina; Fashion Nova Obsession

So for the past couple of months I have been obsessing over pieces from a store called Fashion Nova. Yes, I said it; Fashion Nova! At first I didn't understand the hype of why people were obsessing over Fashion Nova months before I started purchasing clothing from them but then, I had a change of heart. Everyone knows that my favorite store is Forever21 but.... it's looking like Fashion Nova is my new home for right now. I bought so much pieces from Fashion Nova through out Summer 16 including jackets, leggings, dresses, and also accessories. I think I'm honestly addicted to the popular online store but I'm definitely not a fan of their return policy though. That's the only thing I don't like about Fashion Nova is their return policy. THEY NEED TO CHANGE THAT ASAP.

One of my favorite purchases that I ordered from Fashion Nova was this dress called Starlet and you guys; it's absolutely beautiful. At first I was hesitant on buying it because of the V-cut area (I don't have boobs lol) but then I realized I should be risky on trying something new because, I'm always covered up in sweaters and sweatshirts. I actually bought this dress for an event but it didn't even come in the mail on time which was so depressing. The Starlet Dress from Fashion Nova has a slight stretch to it but I would recommend getting this dress a size up from what you would usually wear from other dresses that are sitting in your closet (I bought a medium but I should've bought a large to have more length for my leg area). Overall, I absolutely adore this dress and I would recommend this to anyone that feels a little risky on wearing a V-cut dress and also wants to explore wearing  something flashy when it comes to the embedded rhinestones that are on the Starlet dress. I would rate this dress a 9/10 and the return policy a 4/10 only because I honestly think the return policy is the only thing holding this company back for getting more consumers. I'm just keeping real.

One of my new favorite clothing shops; MISSGUIDED never fails to meet my expectations when it comes to having different styles of clothing. They have clothing ranging from classy, street edge and just plain laid back looks as well. Everyone that knows me knows that I have an obsession with buying clothes from Forever21 but, MISSGUIDED might just take my Forever21 heart and turn it into a MISSGUIDED heart. I know, I know that I might be cheating on  Forever21 but it's always good to look into different clothing stores that have different types of styles and textures as well. Since it's officially summer time a lot of people have been protecting their hair with different types of styles especially; cornrows. These types of braids help lay off heat from your hair so you can be able to do things without your hair being in the way. Plus, this style gives off a laid back look and you can basically wear it with anything (literally). Try dressing up this look by wearing a dress and add some hair pieces such as flowers or even jeweled headpieces.

The color black is not always consider goth and it's very annoying when people always think that black is a gothic color. In my opinion black allows people to incorporate a pop of color to enhance their darker hues to bring out their physical features. Honestly, I've been told that I always wear black and I'm not ashamed of it. Black allows me and other people to have the opportunity to express ourselves in a different way than people that wear colors all the time. Plus, there are a lot of advantages for wearing black like for example; it camouflages any stains that you have, it can also be layered with pretty much anything, and it also enhances everyone's skin tone! You see, wearing black isn't always a bad thing it just makes people appear to be more sophisticated than individuals that wear color. Have you been making gym outfits on a daily basis but just haven't quiet made it to the gym? I mean hey it's okay to admit not going to the gym but you have to admit, this trend has taken a toll in the fashion industry. Quiet honestly I'm not ashamed that this trend isn't dying down anytime soon. What's the Big Deal about Everyone Wanting Big Lips?

As you all have heard everyone is doing the Kylie Jenner challenge where everyone tries to mimic her voluptuous lips. Teens and young adults around the globe have been sucking on shot glasses and plastic bottles to achieve her famous plump look. I really don't understand why everyone around the world is trying to achieve this look by harming themselves instead of using make-up like Kylie does. It may be fun and games to others but at the same time; it all goes back to history. 65 years ago plump lips were considered ugly in society when America was segregated during that time period. A source states; 

"Being surrounded by a predominately white society I think a lot of people tend to idolize qualities in those in a familiar image, such as white, regardless of where qualities come from."

This statement is somewhat true on some levels on how people idolize others but, at the same time it shows that this trend displays how others bandwagon from famous celebrities. This trend also shows that people give too much credit to others instead of themselves. Everyone should realize that your body is your temple and you have to accept what you have or have the courage to change your appearance. It's your choice but remember; have your own identity.
